Very nice fishing City, near Spain. At the eastern end of the Algarve. Situated to the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, Portugal is proud of its reputation as a calm and peaceful land with hospitable people and gentle way of life. The Algarve is the most southern province of this country – a coastal region with a marked tourist influence. Indeed, its 200 km of beautiful beaches, its average year-round temperatures of 17.5 ºC and its 3,065 hours of sunshine throughout the year make it a favourite destination with tourists from around the world. To travel by air, the district capital of Faro has an international airport which can be reached by a 3-hour flight from most European capitals,Faro International Airport is less than an hour's drive from here. The modern road network (IP1; A22; International Guadiana Bridge) means that the cities of Seville and Lisbon are just 2 hours’ drive away along virtually traffic-free motorways, even at peak holiday times. The Algarve is also linked to the European network of railways and its many ports and marinas make it easily accessible by sea.
